The Carnival of Barranquilla is a colorful celebration that takes place every year on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The allegorical floats are crafted in several Carnival workshops by visual artists, supported by teams of artisans, painters, sculptors, dressmakers, and other professionals who often keep this unique craft within their families for decades. The 2024 Battle of Flowers parade featured around 20 floats, inspired by themes of intangible heritage, culture, and nature, along with 50 musical floats carrying live music bands.
