Jhón Jairo Morales, a Colombian street artist, creates a sculpture by melting down used plastic cups on the street of Cali, Colombia, 2 April 2004. Collecting and recycling of used plastic cups from the city dustbins allows him to create simple shaped plastic figures, usually animals. The original sculpture technique is based on melting down plastic in burner fire. Then he shapes fused plastic mechanically and gives the material a design. The artistic process is closed by sinking a figure into the cold water. The artist works and sells his sculptures in the Metropolitan Park of Cali.
